Our Values
In addition to the central objectives of multiplying reparations resolutions across the country, our core values include amplifying the voices of Black activists, artists, and businesses, and prioritizing the sustainability of the change that we engender. We want to provide tools and support so that those in the target communities can access the power to enact policies that are right for them.
How does it work?
Our process is simple. Our team connects with local activist groups and black organizers in the target city in order to gauge the needs of the community and foster communication with the city council, as well as collaborating to draft email templates and phone call scripts to lobby the city council for a reparations resolution. These email templates and phone call scripts are then utilized by our network during each campaign.
